Dear Carol,
It was such a pleasure having the opportunity to meet you.
A friend gave me “Remembering Wholeness” for Christmas about five years ago, and I LOVED it. Your insights spoke to me on so many levels, and came at a time when I needed a little push on my journey toward self-discovery. I have since, given your book to many friends and relatives as the spirit moved me.
Thank you so much for allowing me to participate in the DYT video. I’m one that does not believe in coincidence, but I’m always still amazed when events fall into place so randomly, but with such precision! The DYT experience has added a critical piece that was missing in my life, but that I couldn’t seem to discover on my own. It has already made such a difference in lightening my spirit, and giving me a more hopeful perspective for the future. I’m really looking forward to attend your Energy Profiling class!
I also wanted to thank you so much for your generosity in sharing your ideas and insights with others through your inspirational emails. I can’t tell you how many times those messages have made a difference to cheer me…or steer me in the right direction to find answers. I’m so looking forward to reading your new book! I so appreciate and admire you for sharing these important and relevant ideas with everyone open enough to listen!
Thought you might be interested in a little follow-up.
I received some interesting reactions from family and friends about my new look. I stopped by Meuller Park Jr. High (where my husband teaches) on the way home, and his reaction was…stunned…as if he were trying to process new information…or reconcile the known with the unknown. lol! Which is probably exactly what he was doing. Change isn’t easy for him. To give him credit, he did say something like, “…well if it makes you happy and you like it, that’s great.”
My girls said “They liked the new look. They thought the colors in my hair were fun and cute.”
I wore the pink shirt with striped jacket to work today (which Anne kindly gave to me; I thought that was very generous–and I found I liked it even better when I put it on at home–probably because of the big contrast with what else was in my closet) with a white skirt that has some nice, layered gathers. I added a bright yellow gold belt I already had, and some gold necklaces that I had, but rarely wore! I was told that I looked GREAT in pink (which I never would have thought in the past). My boss told me she “LOVED my hair!” (she’s gotta be a type one (smile)). And she admitted to me she had VERY curly hair (which I never knew, because she always straightens it) and immediately asked me what products you guys had used on my hair. She said, whenever she had allowed her hair to be curly and natural…it always ended up going frizzy. I love the hair products as well, and am so excited to continue using them. I found it very cool that, even after sleeping on my hair all night, it was easy to fluff it out a little, and have it look just as good as it did yesterday!
Interestingly, I could swear I’m getting more attention from people…especially men, which is kind of flattering. I’ve always been a very friendly person, but somehow my new look seems to have the effect of putting others at ease, and making them approach me with even greater friendliness and openness.
I’m looking forward to what the future has to offer in continuing to “dress my truth!” I’m grateful to have been given this opportunity! Thank you so much!
Take care, and keep in touch!
Suzie Venable
