Can You Type the Coaches of The Voice?

Ready for another fun episode of “What Type Is…?”

Anne and I are excited to share the coaches’ Energy Types from the popular TV show, The Voice.

Can you identify The Voice coaches’ Types before watching the video?

  • Christina Aguilera
  • Blake Shelton
  • Adam Levine
  • Cee Lo Green

Who keeps their banter light and encouraging? Who puts a smile on the audience’s face? Who’s the poster boy for Type 4s?

Plus, the big question: Which coach on The Voice is close to Dressing their Truth?

(And who would I want to give a makeover to?) Watch the video to find out…

Were you right? What do you think about their energetic dynamic on the show? Please share a comment below.

In today’s video, I mentioned two other fun and helpful videos. Here are the links:

If you haven’t seen The Voice yet, check it out. It’s a fun show with a lot of musical talent. (One of these days, I’ll sit down long enough to catch up on all my recorded episodes from this season!)

And if you don’t yet know what Energy Profiling is, it’s easy to learn.

Tell Us What You Think

Anne said “He has a higher concentration of Type 4″ So does that mean that we all can have different levels of concentrations of the type’s in us? So maybe we could be the same concentration of our dominant and secondary nature’s?

Hi Kathy, thank you for the question. There is always one Type of energy that is more dominant. The different degrees of the Types within us is what makes us each unique.

I love the Voice! I think the judges are a very balanced group because there is one of each type.
    I think that Blake is a 1, Cee Lo is a 2, Adam is a 3, and Christina is a 4.

Blake: Hello dimples! friendly, fun-loving, talkative, animated (the finger pointing to his own head), cheerful, charismatic, has a lightness about his humor. he is definitely funny, which Christina is not. also Christina is not animated or amusing. Blake pics people for his team sometimes that are totally random. He energetically gets out of his chair to be amusing and animated about winning a contestant from Adam and to continue their friendly rivalry, only because it is fun. He will say he likes someone better simply because they smiled. he is positive with everyone, even telling men in a humorous way that “i think you are dang attractive too!” the “dang” being animated and amusing. Although he has friendly banter with Adam, for Blake it is because its fun, but for Adam it is because he is super competitive.

Cee Lo: smooth! he stays calm, he is graceful and kind in his approach, thoughtful and cautious in his feedback. He feels for others, you will hear him say, “I feel you” or even wipe tears away. He is obviously cuddly, sensitive, soothing, tenderhearted, thoughtful. i think Cee Lo is a dominant 2 with secondary 1.

Adam: COMPETITIVE! he is in it to win it. Determined, ambitious, everything he does is about the end result, “i am choosing you because i think you can win this thing”. Focused, even his gaze as he watches, is very intense. He has a demanding coaching style and really pushes his team to take risks. I think he has a secondary type 4 because he has a passion for the perfection of the music and performance. He does regularly bring out details in the melodies. The chiseled features look type 3 to me, that is why he is so HOT! and from the secondary 4, he is super cool too, which is a super dynamic and interesting mix, and probably why he looks so good in a black t-shirt.

Christina, this girl is cool and stunning. She sits still and statuesque, only speaking when she knows what she will say. She is opinionated and logical. there is a seriousness and focus to how she chooses her team, and i believe that she sees herself as the authority on big voices. she is well mannered about who she lets go, but she stays true to her structure of her team, which she has chosen to only have pop singers with very big voices on her team this year, because this will work perfectly with her plan. So she remains very focused on those choices and also loyal to her team members. She has politely declined many many impressive singers who do not fit exactly to her genre, where she is an authority. Christina definitely has a bold voice and when she has an opinion, she backs it up with logic and articulates the reasons. i believe she is a 4. pale skin and fine features, symmetrical, statuesque, cool, bold, looks amazing in high contrast and black and white. needs to wear more structured clothes to look her best.

I am a new fan to the Voice this year, and have carefully watched every episode, some more than once. I instantly thought, the reason why the judges panel is so balanced is because each type is represented, and they are all positive and nice.
