You’ve seen his work. And if you’ve been following my blog lately, you’ve probably seen his face on here recently. Now I want you to meet the man who does so much to make sure you have a great experience with us.

My son Chris Tuttle is the CEO of our company, Live Your Truth. As a Type 2 with a secondary Type 4, Chris is passionate about our community and making sure that you and everyone in our community feels connected, honored and supported. An entrepreneur at heart, he’s really helped to grow this company and is a key reason we’re successful.

Watch the video for my interview with Chris. Hear why serving you inspires him in this work and how everyone knowing their Type makes a difference in our company’s culture—for us and for you!

Also, don’t miss his tips for how Type 2′s can be successful in their professional lives and leadership roles. He also shares which book has most influenced his thinking on business.

What did Chris say that resonated most with you? Share your comments with us. And let us know what helps you in your work. How does knowing your Type (and your co-workers’ Types) help you at work?

Leading as a Type 2

Our culture typically sees Type 3′s and Type 4′s as the stereotypical leaders, with their confidence, physical energy and bold authority. The leadership style of a Type 2 comes from a heart level, expressing a more sensitive care for the people they lead and serve.

Type 2 leaders will often lead through making connections and by connecting people to each other and to work that inspires them.

Are you a Type 2 in a leadership role? Tell us about your experience and share a comment below.

Chris, your dedication to the best value and experience REALLY shows in all the improvements that you and the LYT team has made in the recent months, this year. I am continually impressed. And yes, you are a great leader. Thank-you for breaking through the old paradigm and ideas of what makes a great leader and how men “should” be.

And, again, THANK-YOU for stellar products with amazing supports. I am always eager and proud to share Dressing Your Truth and Energy Profiling with those I care about and meet because I know that they will be well received and cared for.

Carol, Chris and all of the Live Your Truth team, you are rock stars! Keep up the fabulous work and God bless!

This was a perfectly timed post for me! I am a Type 2/4 and currently re-thinking my career, and whether a 2/4 could be successful as a CEO. Clearly the answer is yes! Chris, it sounds like you are a great person to work for and with, and thank you for the inspiration!

This is very affirming for Type 2 leaders. I work as a therapist, but have my own non-profit corporation and have another foundation that puts books into the hands of those who wouldn’t ordinarily have that opportunity. LYT concepts/Energy profiling has helped me personally as well as helped me create my teams. Even as we’ve grown to over 200 people – the philosophy stays the same. I actually worried when I found out I was a Type 2 – how could I be doing all these things? But then I realized that the connectedness, the passion of the mission – that was my T2 leadership. Thanks, Chris, for all you do – not only the wonderful improvements, growth – fabulous company – but also sharing this type of leadership – very clarifying, very affirming.

I am a type 2 leader in my job. I’m the only female director in my group, and I’ve spent a lot of time fighting my natural skills and abilities and try to match the bold energies of the men who I work with on a daily basis.

I realized earlier this summer that I was having a lot of anxiety based on trying to lead and manage in a way that wasn’t me…and I was worried that my ideas would be overlooked if I wasn’t shouting out in meetings and elbowing my way up the corporate ladder. Instead, I’ve realized that who I am is what makes me an asset in my position…I have always had a skill of connecting…idea to idea…person to idea…person to person. When I am focused on connecting instead of fighting, so much more gets accomplished, and everyone feels happier with our final product.

I also used to teach (leadership in the classroom) and I was successful when I used a gentle touch in the classroom and managed classes through respect and connection with my students. I have a slight voice disorder and people sometimes believed my softer voice would hurt my ability to teach..instead, a principal would be surprised to come by my classroom and see everyone engaged and quietly raising their hands to get my attention.

A leader doesn’t have to be loud or yell or be aggressive to be successful.

Great video! Thanks to both of you for all you do and everything you bring to us.

Great to hear how we T2s can lead with our hearts and connect people. Thanks, Chris for all you do to create a worldwide community of people honoring their essential nature.

Wonderful to “meet” Chris in this way – and greatly appreciate learning that dominant 2′s can be entrepreneurs! My shallow understanding of the DYT & energy profiling system had led me to believe that only Type 3s could lead and drive a business. Chris’ comment – about doing great things that matter – brought tears to my eyes. I have not found my calling yet, but “doing great things that matter” has been a mantra for me for many years. Hoping knowing my type and living my truth will put me on the path to finding my life’s work.
