I am so glad you are doing these radio shows. It has been a journey getting used to being a type 1, when I want to be a type 3 and finish more of my dreams. Thank you Jenny for your positive example. I did raise my children with seeing me as a type one at least part of the time. It is so much nicer having the ok to just be myself and dress my truth. Thanks again for taking this program to the next level.

I really enjoyed listening to the recording of this show. I have been having a hard time being a type 1 on the outside. I have had LOTS of ahha moments listening to the blog and reading the books but listening to Jenny was nice. It was real life, about real life. It felt like I was talking to my Mom too. Thank you for talking about how you process and how you be you and how you have figured out how to work with struggles. I actually saw me. You actually expressed how I feel!
I will say that adapting to others way of communication is right on. My sister who is also type 1 said once ” just think of what I want to say put it in a ball and throw it at people, they can make sense of it” I on the other hand watch the persons movement and then speak like them.
My type 4 son doesn’t respond well when I get excited (BIG) about his accomplishments. He retreat and won’t do it again. I can act happy, pleased and other type 1 ways but NOT – WOW! GREAT JOB, so on. All the other kids respond great but he shuts down.
I also have a type 4 sister and she feels the most understood when talking to me. Funny she calls me when she is upset with people and situations so I can help her see a different approach to dealing with it. I enjoy that a type 4 needs MY take on life! AND listens on top of it all.

I REALLY need to talk to Jenny! I am a Type 1 married to a Type 4 and I have a really difficult time with communicating with him! I would love to get some input and advice on how to improve things with our very different types.

it was good to hear the take on type one which I believe I may be and liked how Jenny in her young years is learning that it is okay not to take on the world and decide what is best for her plate. It is good that she has a mom that understands her nature and knows how to counsel her in this area and that she is willing to listen and be that better person for herself. I am 63 and just learning this.
