3 Simple Ways to Lose Weight That Won’t Let Go

Extra weight just hanging on? Diet and exercise will only get you so far if you haven’t addressed the emotional and energetic element of those extra pounds.

These 3 tips will open you up energetically to lose the weight that just won’t let go…

Use Affirmations

An affirmation is a statement that helps you raise your level of belief to match your level of desire.

Here are my 23 favorite affirmations to help you lose weight. Say these messages out loud, internalize them, believe them, and they will start to become your present experience.

Live True to Yourself

I once received a question about how knowing your Type in my Energy Profiling system might help you lose weight. The answer I shared will give you some big clues…

Have you noticed that your body takes on extra weight when you’re living contrary to your Type? Please share your experience in the comments below.

Like I said, many people slim down when they feel free to be their true self.

If you don’t know your Type yet, sign up for my free online video course that will help you identify your Type. The course doesn’t cost a dime, and can change the way you look at weight loss forever!

Choose the Right Focus

If you focus on losing weight, you’re actually focused on how fat you feel.

Your body responds to this negative message by holding onto extra weight. When you change your focus to loving your body right where it’s at, it will respond more easily to your exercise and healthy eating efforts.

I’ve experienced this myself and love that my body feels strong and healthy.

Good luck in your journey to a healthy weight!

    Hi Carol,

It’s interesting you say that when living your truth you can lose weight but I found the opposite with me. And the main reason I noticed it is that I just redid my whole wardrobe to dress my truth and I put on enough weight I had to go up in size. I’m wondering what issue I might need to clear to allow myself to live my truth and lose weight. Thank you!

      I’m in the same boat

I want to use affirmations, but when I do, I feel like a fraud. I don’t believe a word of what I say. Then, I just feel angry that tapping and affirmations work for everyone else but me. In fact, I’m in silent tears as I write this. Fifty five years of being overweight is too many years. I just want to let the weight go but without a white-knuckle, punishment battle. What is wrong with me?

Dear Jane, it’s time to face the lies you carry with being overweight. Use this statement, ‘I am worth it, I love myself, I deserve to release the weight of these lies, I am letting them all go, they are lies and I am no longer needing to carry them.’ You also may wish to read my book ‘Remembering Wholeness’ or get a membership to the Online Healing Center where you will find many EFT sessions about weight, clearing your beliefs about the different energy Types, and so much more that would be helpful to you. I also have a CD available at titled ‘Clear the Emotional Issues that are Keeping you Fat’.

Thank you, Carol! You are a doll. I appreciate your taking the time to answer. I have “Remembering Wholeness.” I need to re-read it. Again- thank you and Blessings!

its sad but true – to lose weight, we need to eat less food than our body actually needs. We need to allow ourselves to feel hungry because that is when your body will turn to burning fat as fuel. Feeling love for yourself helps you to be happy while eating less.

I’m digging that intro music! I was still dancing when you started to speak.

And I’m floored that it hasn’t occurred to me before now that if I’m focused on losing weight, I’m really focused on fat. My new intention is to focus on feeling good in and loving everything about my body. Thank you!

Thank you thank you so much for your words. I realize I gained weight as a protective measure. I was molested as a child and then abused by my now ex husband. I gained weight to be unattractive and to protect myself from further harm. Now, at the age of 50, I feel I can finally release it all. I would lose weight then gain most of it back. I was once nearly 400 lbs. I can blame RA, stroke and other issues on my weight gain, but I have actually started losing weight again after a stroke in 2010. I gained some of it back but not all. So now I’m digging into what the actual causes are and not just the symptom.

Thank you for helping me to free myself.
