The Do-it-Yourself Dressing Your Truth Makeover contest is intended to capture both the external and internal transformation that takes place when a woman fully embraces and applies the Beauty Profile and Dressing Your Truth principles.
In order to help you create the best video possible, consider answering the following 3 questions:
1. How has discovering your Type of beauty and then Dressing Your Truth changed your life? Your self image? Your confidence?
2. How has Dressing Your Truth changed your shopping experience?
3. how did you feel before Dressing Your Truth about your appearance, and how do you feel now?
We would also like to suggest you show and share the following in your entry:
-Show us your closet/wardrobe before and afters
-Show us you getting rid of your black clothes
-Show us you going through the process of getting the right cut, color and style for your hair
-Tell us how having the tools to Become Your Own Beauty Expert has made a difference in your life.
-How has Dressing Your Truth helped you as you age?
-Show us anything that captures you going through the process, the excitement the apprehension, the emotion etc…
-Most important, be YOU!

Since the video needs to be uploaded to YouTube, I assume that the length can be no greater than 10 minutes.
Also, do you have any submission deadlines for this contest?
I’ve taken about 3 months to absorb the DYT course for my type 3 & find a great synchronicity in this contest announcement as I’m currently on a mission to purge my closet of black & navy blue – some stuff going to the thrift stores, some to consignment shops. Next stop, the hairdresser!
My biggest challenge comes with “dirty-ing” my denims, as my laundry facilities are shared with other tenant.
Guess it’s time to get going, get the video camera out & editing software!

I just found out about this great new concept. I can’t wait to put all the info. into practice! I’m especially excited to see what I’m going to learn about my True Hair style. Give me some time and I’ll definately be entering the contest. Sound Like FUN!!
