Donna flew to New York City for the trip of a lifetime. A chance to have her hair and makeup done by the What Not to Wear Experts. Donna’s “What Not to Wear” makeover cost her just under $1,000! Two months later Donna discovered Dressing Your Truth and did a “do-it-yourself” makeover. Which do you prefer?
Here’s Donna with “What Not to Wear’s” Nick Arrojo who did her hair makeover.
Here’s Donna with the professional Makeup artist who did her makeup.
2 months later Donna found Dressing Your Truth. Here is Donna after her “do-it-yourself” Dressing Your Truth makeover. Donna went through the Type 3 Dressing Your Truth online course at home, then went to a local hairstylist and spent $115 for her hair service. She paid $297 for the online course, total cost: $404. The difference is we taught Donna not only what was right for her hair, but also her clothes, jewelry, and makeup.

I adore the “dressing the truth” Donna pics. She looks beautiful! Relaxed and cozy.

The difference is amazing! Donna looks beautiful dressing her Type 3 truth!

The difference is amazing, but the whole ‘truth’ is that she did not go through the WNTW experience where the stylists get to know the guests and the guests get to know themselves before a change is made to the guests. Besides, that makeup artist does NOT look like Carmindy, so I truly doubt the authenticity of her WNTW ‘experience’.

Dear WNTW Fan,
Thanks for your comment. I explained in the video that the makeup artist is not the regular for the show, but someone that works with the show. The truth is she did see the former main stylist from WNTW, Nick Arrojo, and I think it is pretty obvious that she looks a lot more beautiful in the Dressing Your Truth makeover, as far as I know they depend on their hairstylists to know what is the best hairstyle for the WNTW clients- So I am not sure why Nick would have needed anymore time to choose a different style. I am going to assume he thought that was the best style for her.
Donna, did her Dressing Your Truth makeover herself, from watching our Dressing Your Truth online course. She did not even need to “meet” with an expert to get to know her, she knew what she needed to do with her hair from what we teach online! Also they give the clients on WNTW $5,000 to overhaul their wardrobe. How many women take $5,000 to overhaul their wardrobe? WNTW is entertainment more than practical, how-to fashion advice that works for A LOT of women. Dressing Your Truth is practical how-to fashion advice that does work for A LOT of women and for A LOT less than $5,000!
For fans of WNTW, it can be a real bubble burster to consider they may not know what is best when it comes to a woman’s natural beauty!

In the WNTW photos, I notice her hair. In the DYT photo, I notice her glowing face. Beautiful!

She looks so much cuter in the DYT picture. Everything comes to gether in a way that naturally flatters her…

The comparison photos were great – would loved to have seen the before WNTW photos as well.
Great response to WNTW Carol!

The thing is when she did What Not to Wear… They gave her the basic tools get started. I don’t think she would of been able to grow without that first initial push. Let’s remember she wasn’t “the total package” hair makeup when she went to get her hair and make up done.
Think what Clinton and Stacy do for people is wake people up. Get them started on the journey to a better you. To say which picture is better is really unfair. We don’t see where she started from… I am sure the first make over was a lot more dramatic for her then second. She had tools to use by the time she decided to do the “Dressing your Truth”.

Hands down, DYT

Sorry, I didn’t realize she flew out to only get her hair cut/styled and get professional make up done.
*sigh*

She looks 10 years younger!

WOW! I love what Donna did for herself (and share with us)! She had the guts to travel all the way to New York City to spend time with the experts and then to ADMIT that the makeover they gave her wasn’t as special as she BELIEVED herself to be…which led her to seek more learning and to find her true potential through “Dressing Your Truth”! Love it! Way to go and thank you for sharing your journey of $1000’s to save us $$ in the long run. I’m with Carol in believing that when we listen to our own true nature we know what is best! Stop believing the fashion industry and learn to see your true beauty!

I love What Not To Wear and Stacy and adore Clinton. They have wonderful fashion sense and know how to make woman’s bodies look lovely. Carmindy is great with makeup! It looks like DYT can bring something so fresh and so compellingly authentic because it addresses who the person is, as an energy being, and I am very interested in it. Its not insult to Stacy and Clinton – Carmindy or Nick that Carol has defined this very appropriate and feel good way of discovering what works. I think Carol should appear on WNTW, and add this additional element – Thats a show I would love to watch…

I also love WNTW and think that Stacy and Clinton do wonders for the clients that we see on the show by taking them from often having no concept of style at all, dressing in sweats or baggy jeans every day, to looking pretty darn good. Donna looks ‘cute’ after her WNTW makeover, but after her DYT self-makeover she looks a lot more confident about herself and a lot happier and she has an edge and a presence that just shine. The WNTW makeover makes her look like a little girl, the DYT makeover turns her into a beautiful woman.

I think the next step is for Carol to get her own TV show! I can appreciate that WNTW helps peole to start thinking about their looks, but they are still going to go home, and dress according to how Stacy and Clinton decided they should look, and have a closet full of clothes that doesn’t express their true selves. I also appreciate that Carol doesn’t just give you easy answers, but encourages us to find the answers in the program. So, it is in your best interests to purchase the Dressing Your Truth program. Then, start learning as you go.
