Because I am a Type 3, I made the decision to get a color and razor cut. I love it. I love the effects of the razor cut and wonder if it will damage my hair to get a razor cut every 6 weeks or so. My hairdresser used scissors on me last time (she realizes I wanted a razor cut) because she says she didn’t want to over-razor cut it, whatever that means. I was expecting and wanted to get a razor cut. Any suggestions? Thank you.

You are a Type 3! Your hair can naturally handle a razor cut every time you get a haircut! A good stylist knows how to cut hair with a razor without damaging it. If your stylist cannot give you the results you want then find a new stylist. You are in charge of your hair not her. Take your hair back and get what YOU want!

Wow, coloring? I am a Christian and as a Christian I believe God doesn’t make mistakes and we were born with our perfect haircolor. I don’t see how it could be otherwise. I can see how coloring maybe would be fun. I myself have used a reddish tinted henna on my hair but it really only brought out more of the red that is in my dark brown hair. I have a lot of red in my brown hair naturally.

So, do you ever just not color a woman’s hair? I guess I am a little confused as to why so much talk about coloring the hair. If we need to work with our natural hair whether it is straight or curly, is that what yall do with the color?
