Great question, great response! I like to think of ourselves as blank canvases. We have our basic form and beauty but have been given the ability to use our creativity to create our unique beauty that is our own special work of art. Your teaching helps us understand that potential to be uniquely who we are. How boring this world would be if all we saw was Monets or Renoirs. How beautiful and rich life is to be able to see someone's unique beauty and not copies of how someone in a fashion magazine thinks we should look.
I really fought my threeness for a awhile because I didn't want to look like Carol, that just wasn't me. Now I understand that being a three doesn't mean I have to have short spikey hair. That is perfect and fun for Carol but I can keep my longer hair and still be honor my type three.
thanks again for being a pioneer,Carol.

I am a type 4 and my daughter is a type 2 and I now understand the difference. She is very detail oriented and I ask a lot of questions which annoys her. As a personal weight loss coach, I believe being a type 4 has helped me in getting to core issues. Thank you for clarifying this for me.

I am a believer in shopping at thrift shops and consignment shops. I rarely buy anything that isn't on sale. You don't have to spend a fortune to look good or dress your type. But you do have to believe in yourself and learn what looks good on you and what doesn't. A bargain isn't a bargain if it's just going to stay in the closet and not be worn. But it's also a great way to take a chance, explore your options and not lose a lot of money if it turns out to be a bomb!

God Bless you Carol!

You are like the Dr. Phil of the fashion industry because you tell it like it is and you call a spade a spade. And, you know what you are talking about.

Have you heard form Oprah yet?

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I believe myself to be a type 2 dominant and I now have a better understanding of my "detailedness" and how it can sometimes bug my best friend who is type 3 dominant but secondarily a very thorough type 4 (or maybe vice versa). I love step by step, methodical processes and can now enjoy it while enjoying and celebrating her ability to see the whole picture instantly. Differences do not have to be frustrating - they can actually be a plus. Thank you for this work Carol.

@Lisa and @Sherrie Thank you so much for your comments. It's really exciting to find other people who percieve the world in the same way I do! I ask a lot of questions as well and it's always to get that big picture in place so that I can refine and adjust it as I move forward in my natural movement toward balance, symmetry, and wholeness.

This is so fun.

Thank you for that clarification. I know I'm a dominant Type 1 and lately I have been trying to understand what my secondary is(but still lead with a 1). I jump back and forth often between a 1/4 and 1/3, usually 1/4, and it is interesting to see how they display themselves in my journalism major and in my writing career. I ask a lot of questions and tend to be more lengthy in writing, but I was confused by this because it didn't seem to match Type 2-I don't really like details. After watching this video, I realize it is out of a desire to be thorough that I ask questions, and I only ask questions that support the big picture or main point. Maybe I'm way off, but I feel like I understand myself so much better now! Thank you!

I picked up on that too! If she can afford a cruise and to go scuba diving and give her son money to fix his car....then she just didn't have her priorities in place. In other words she didn't want the book badly enough or she wanted it for free!
