<p>I put together 5 practical tips for you that will make all the difference.</p>

<p>Holiday overeating happens most often at family gatherings and social events. That&#8217;s why my tips focus on little things you can do right before, during, and after your next holiday party.</p>
<p>Plus, nothing will help you avoid holiday weight gain better than consciously setting an intention to create a supportive experience with food. (Remember, you create what you want by being in energetic alignment with it!)</p>

<p>One of the best ways create a new pattern of experience is some clearing with temporal tapping. You saw in the video how this is done. Use these affirmations and the others in the video to help you:</p>

<li><em>I am no longer gaining 10 pounds during the holidays.</em><em></em></li>
<li><em>I am no longer battling with food during the holiday season.</em><em></em></li>

<li><em>I am even losing some weight this holiday season.</em><em></em></li>
<li><em>I am enjoying myself and food is in its proper role.</em><em></em></li>

<p><strong>&#8220;Cold Season&#8221; Health Tip #1: Uncover your beliefs. </strong></p>
<p>Next time you worry you&#8217;ll catch someone&#8217;s cold, stop for just a second. Notice how much that fear gives your power away. Do you believe your body is vulnerable, just because of the time of year?</p>
<p>As a culture, we&#8217;ve dedicated an entire season to illness. No wonder so many people experience poor health at this time of year!</p>
<p>Not sure what you believe? Listen to yourself—which leads me to this season&#8217;s tip number 2&#8230;<span id="more-10146"></span></p>
<p><strong>&#8220;Cold Season&#8221; Health Tip #2: Really listen to yourself.</strong></p>
<p>Watch what you say (even in your mind) next time someone coughs around you.</p>
<p>Do you say things like this?&#8230; &#8220;I sure hope I don&#8217;t get your cold,&#8221; or, &#8220;I&#8217;m always the one that gets sick.&#8221; Those words express your inner belief more than you may realize.</p>
<p>You only acquire a negative health condition when you come into vibrational harmony with that condition. Statements like, &#8220;I bet I&#8217;ll catch that cold,&#8221; put you in vibrational harmony with that experience. What happens next? You catch the cold or flu you keep saying you don&#8217;t want.</p>

<p>I recently met a man that included in his introduction of himself that he was &#8220;an insomniac.&#8221; I thought to myself, <em>Wow, his body just heard that. And it will be glad to continue to give him that experience.</em></p>
<p>He&#8217;ll probably continue the experience of being an insomniac as long as he says he is one. Why is that?</p>
<p>Because your physiology is an intelligent system that hears what you say about it. It responds to what you believe and feel about it. You create more of whatever you put your attention on in thought or feeling. Doesn&#8217;t matter if you don&#8217;t want it. By putting attention on it, you bring more of it to you.<span id="more-10147"></span></p>
<p><strong>What Do You Think and Say About Your Health?</strong></p>
<p>Like the man who says he&#8217;s an insomniac, you might be taking on health conditions as part of your identity. And your health reflects that belief back to you. Even saying &#8220;I am getting a cold&#8221; will invite the cold to come on and become a part of you.</p>
<p>Does this man&#8217;s story seem familiar to you? Do you continue to experience recurring health conditions that you don&#8217;t want? What health conditions do you take on as part of your identity?</p>
<p><strong>How You Can Create Great Health</strong></p>
<p>I want to share some affirmations to help you bring more positive life force energy into your experience with physical health. Put your hand over your heart and say these in your mind or out loud. Come back to them as often as you need a reminder:</p>
<ul>
<li>I am grateful for my strong, healthy body.</li>
<li>My body continues to heal and manifest more wellness.</li>
<li>Everyday I am feeling better and better I am comfortable in my body. It likes me!</li>
<li>I am loving my body as it makes the changes I desire.</li>
<li>It is good to be me, body and all.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>You Can Do It!</strong></p>
<p>You create your life with every thought you think and feeling you feel. You can choose to think different thoughts about your body and start creating more health, even if you are not sure yet what optimum health looks like for you yet. Your higher self knows and that is good enough.</p>

<p>What&#8217;s <em>really</em> keeping you from losing weight?</p>
<p>When I met today&#8217;s guest, Kathy, I noticed a habit I&#8217;ve seen in women everywhere who are uncomfortable about their size:</p>
<p><strong>She consistently apologized and joked about her weight.</strong></p>
<p>To all of you who do that, I want to say, <em>Stop! </em>It&#8217;s not okay. Your body wants to be loved. And you can&#8217;t support your body in feeling loved when you shame yourself with jokes and apologies.</p>
<p>Yes, you need to exercise and eat well. But first, you need to get rid of any shameful illusions you believe about yourself. <em>Those illusions make it impossible for your body to lose weight.<span id="more-7923"></span></em></p>
<p>Join Kathy and me in this easy exercise and let go of the story you&#8217;ve been telling yourself for too long. Here&#8217;s a brief summary of the exercise. Watch the video to see how these four steps can be so powerful in helping you let go of unwanted pounds.</p>
<ol>
<li><strong>Close your eyes and see the childhood version of yourself.</strong></li>
<li><strong>Take that child <em>out</em> of the setting where she was shut down or belittled. Create a special place for her to exist safely as her true self.</strong></li>
<li><strong>Tell her that you <em>insist</em> now that she live her life completely free, exactly the way she is.</strong></li>
<li><strong>Bring in angels to honor and mentor her, reminding her that her true self is safe.</strong></li>
</ol>
<p>Repeat the affirmations and intentions that help you feel safe to be yourself. Write them down and use them daily. Let&#8217;s watch&#8230;</p>

I am a type 4.  I can&#8217;t seem to get my body to the perfect physical state I want it to be, and have struggled with that since I was young.  When I weighed 120 lbs. I wasn&#8217;t happy.  When I weighed 130 lbs. I wasn&#8217;t happy, and now that I weigh more than that I am really sad about it all, and sort of angry.</p>
<p>I work out, I watch what I eat, I ride my bike for an hour every day in the summer, but nothing changes.  I don&#8217;t get firmer, I don&#8217;t shed any weight, I just stay the same.  I visualize what I want to be and make affirmations, but it&#8217;s like I don&#8217;t really believe my visualizations and affirmations are or can be true.</p>
<p>After my last baby was born (he is now 25), I spiraled into deep depression and became very thin, weighing only about 95 lbs.  I was sick and weak.  I don&#8217;t want to be sick and weak and thin, just thinner so that I&#8217;m not aware of my body every minute.</p>
<p>I am so stuck and I can&#8217;t even see my way out and back to wholeness in that aspect of my life.  Everything else seems to be good, but that area is not.</p>

<p>Dear Susan,</p>
<p>I am noticing a couple of things in your question.  First I notice that no matter what size you were, you were unable to appreciate your body.  When you cannot appreciate your current experience, we are blocking ourselves from appreciating another experience.  It&#8217;s good to ask ourselves, &#8220;Why do I think I would appreciate myself anymore if I lost weight, I never have yet!&#8221;</p>
<p>Start appreciating your body exactly the way it is, right now.  It is feeling ashamed and confused, like it just keeps letting you down.  The body feels like an abandoned child that can never do what you want! It feels hurt and sad, and just wants you to find something good about it.  How motivated would you be to change if no matter what you did was not good enough and you were always being sent the message you are no good the way you are! I think you get my point!</p>
<p>My second observation is your Type 4 tendency for perfecting is looking only at an outcome rather than a process.  Try and be perfect in your process of loving your body more and thanking it, try perfecting your process of allowing and letting go of any old beliefs that you are not lovable unless you are a smaller size.  Let go of the need for a &#8220;perfect body,&#8221; trying to get it to change.  Love yourself more, right here, right now. Be perfect in that.</p>
