<p>The Chinese term for energy is &#8220;chi,&#8221; which means life force energy. When our energy is blocked, scrambled or leaking, we feel depleted and heavy.</p>
<p>When you are energy-depleted, it is more difficult to manage your emotions, think positive thoughts and stay healthy.</p>
<p><span id="more-970"></span></p>
<p>In the field of holistic health, energy medicine and energy psychology are growing rapidly. As a practitioner of energy therapies, I have assisted numerous individuals who are energy challenged.</p>
<p>I recently assisted a woman who was bedridden due to a severe case of chronic fatigue. After eight weeks of working with her body&#8217;s energy system to restore it to good health and teaching her how to take care of her own energy health, she has had a miraculous recovery.</p>
<p>She is out of bed and fully active. Her parents see it as a miracle. Our energy responds very quickly when we know what to do to correct it. After all, it&#8217;s just energy.</p>
<p>How to Stop Losing Your Life Force Energy</p>
<p>Problem:<span> </span>Everyone has an invisible energy system called<span> </span>chakras. Whereas meridians are an energy transportation system,<span> </span>chakras<span> </span>are energy stations. The word<span> </span>chakra<span> </span>means disk, vortex, or wheel.</p>
<p>There are seven energy stations positioned from the base of your spine to the top of your head. In energy health, if you are losing or leaking energy at the base<span> </span>chakra<span> </span>located at the bottom of your spine, you may feel depression, anxiety and exhaustion. <p>Many people are energy depleted because they are not able to hold enough life force energy or chi. In this energy condition, you are flushing energy down and away from you, much like a toilet flushes water down. In order to maintain good energy health, you want energy spiraling up into your base chakra.</p>
<p>Correction:<span> </span>When there is a leak, you have to patch it. Close your eyes and imagine you can see the energy leaking out of your tailbone. Imagine a patch large enough to cover the leak. Place the patch over the leak. Imagine you can go beneath the energy and reverse the flow to spiral it up into your body through your tailbone.</p>

<p>They are energy highways and when they are blocked, heavy, or running too much energy for us, it effects our health in a negative way.</p>
<p>One of the primary energy meridians controls the flow of <span> </span>what we call our &#8220;fight and flight&#8221; energy.</p>
<p>With so much media attention on war and violence, our &#8220;fight and flight&#8221; energy is in overdrive.<span> </span>Some of the residual effects of too much &#8220;fight and flight&#8221; energy can be immune system problems such as chronic fatigue, irritability, depression, anger, and exhaustion.</p>
<p>The energy pathway that controls the &#8220;fight and flight&#8221; energy moves up and around each ear. To sedate and calm this energy, place your fingertips in front of each ear and, while pressing gently, smooth your fingers up and over the ears and off the back of your neck. Repeat this five to six times while taking some deep breaths in through your nose and out through your mouth.</p>
<p>Three powerful statements to repeat as you use this technique are:</p>
<blockquote><p>&#8220;I am calm and feeling better and better.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;I am letting the stress go.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;My immune system is working in balance.&#8221;</p></blockquote>

<p>Too often we do not notice what God is trying to teach us and give us. We are very powerfully designed to change all of this. We have the ability to let more of God&#8217;s gifts in to our lives. It starts with our thoughts and what we believe. Whatever we focus on we create more of.</p>
<p>If you focus on what you don&#8217;t want, you will allow more of that to be created in your life. If you focus on what you want you allow more of that to be created in your life.</p>
<p>God knows what we need and will bless us if we allow it to come into our lives. We are the creators of our lives. If we are creating a lot of pain and lack we are creating by ourselves. God wants to be a co-creator with us helping us create more joy and prosperity.</p>
<p>A good friend and colleague, Dr. Joseph Bennette, introduced me to this creation process several years ago. I have personally used it and seen some very exciting things happen in my life. It is a new year with a new fresh energy to create more joy and prosperity. God wants to help you, and this process will open the way for that to occur.<span id="more-906"></span></p>
<p><strong>The Something Exciting is About to Happen Process</strong></p>
<p>Choose right now that something very exciting is going to happen to you. Here is how to do it.</p>
<p>You don&#8217;t know what it is that&#8217;s going to happen, or exactly when it will appear, but that there is definitely something cool that is just around the corner, awaiting your discovery.</p>
<p>Get so excited about this upcoming opportunity that you have butterflies in your tummy. Every time the phone rings, let yourself wonder if that is &#8220;it.&#8221; You could decide that it will happen around the first of the New Year, if you want to give it a deadline.</p>
<p>Then, just watch what happens!</p>
<p>This is a great process to create great things in our lives. It works because your spirit self and God knows what is really wanted. You do not need to know in order to manifest it. In fact by not knowing you keep yourself and your doubts out of the way.</p>
<p>This exercise helps you create a high joy vibration and that is all that is required to attract what is right in your life. If you are in a place of feeling really good, you can only attract that which is really wonderful to you.</p>
<p>To remind yourself to keep getting excited, you may want to post a message like &#8220;something really exciting is about to happen&#8221; in a place you can see it a lot. Intend that every time you read it, you will get really excited, and as a result you offer that high vibration to the universe to attract what is coming to you.</p>
<p>When you get the surprise, say thank you with glee and start all over.</p>
<p>Something Exciting Just Happened for These People!</p>
<p>&#8220;I am using the exciting thing &#8220;about to happen.&#8221; My kids really got into it. In fact they played a game yesterday on the way to the movies. Alicen was driving and she got a flat tire. Some really cute, nice guys helped her change the tire. Boy was that exciting for her.&#8221; – Julie, Arizona</p>
<p>&#8220;I decided to use your process so I asked for something exciting to happen to me. Later the same day I received a phone call from the &#8220;Healing Hands&#8221; nurse.</p>
<p>She was calling to share with me that I could go to the Milillani Hospital for my treatments. This was great news since I am currently not driving and this hospital is very close to my home.&#8221; &#8211; Annette, Hawaii</p>

Many times I found myself in tears. I was so excited to be there. It was one of the most spiritual times I have recently had at church.</p>
<p>I love to share this process with others. Everyone I tell understands it and they all get &#8220;excited&#8221; about it.</p>
<p>In the beginning when I first started it, I was waiting for something &#8220;big&#8221; to happen like a new job, more grandchildren, winning the lottery. <p>With about 19 million Americans suffering from depression, and with prescriptions for drugs to treat the disorder having doubled over the last 10 years alone, the problem is only growing without real healthy answers from the medical community. The reason is that most people don&#8217;t have the first clue about what&#8217;s really giving us the blues.</p>
<p>Why is it so common for the holidays to make otherwise happy people depressed?</p>
<p>Here are three reasons you can get emotionally down during the holidays:<span id="more-909"></span></p>
<p>The holidays bring up a lot of emotional baggage from our childhood.<span> </span>If you have unresolved issues about your family the closer family contact during this time of year can stir these feelings up. Maybe your unresolved issues are keeping you estranged from your family, which stirs up feelings of loss, anger, and grief.</p>
<p>With the increased spending during the holidays, stressing over money can get you down. Increased spending can rock the boat in your relationships causing more contention.</p>
<p>If you<span> </span>have issues with food, you are faced with more temptation to blow your diet, and the thought of your overweight status is nagging you even more than ever.</p>
<p>Why do most people go through life never identifying the true source of their feelings?</p>
<p>Most of the year we can stay busy enough with the daily stresses of life that we tend to ignore the deeper feelings we carry, only to have them surface during the holiday season.</p>
<p>As children, we were not encouraged to share our feelings, we were told to put on a happy face and ignore how we really felt. These unacknowledged, buried emotions are feelings within us that are very much alive and active. They are the cause of many diseases and dis-harmonies in the body.</p>
<p>What are the three things anyone can do today to heal the holiday blues?</p>
<p>First, acknowledge that you feel blue or down. Place your hand on your chest, this is a major energy center called your heart chakra, and repeat the following three times, &#8220;Even though I feel down and blue I deeply love and accept myself.&#8221; (For more information on the Chakras pick up a copy of my Chakra Home Study Course,<span> </span><a href="http://caroltuttle.com/storetheChakra.asp" target="_blank">Becoming a Vibrant Human Being</a>: Living, Loving, and Creating from Your Chakras.)</p>
<p>Accepting yourself in this downer state is powerfully healing. It will honor your feelings and in that honoring allow the emotional energy to begin to release.</p>
<p>Second, once you have acknowledged how you feel, take some time to write out how you might have felt as a child. The following is an easy and effective technique to help you get to those deeper feelings.</p>
<p>A Letter to Yourself:<span> </span>Take your dominant hand and write a letter to your younger self that never got to share their feelings honestly. At the top of a piece of paper write &#8220;Dear Little (your name goes here),&#8221; <span> </span>for example if I were writing to me I would write &#8220;Dear Little Carol.&#8221;<span> </span>On the next line write an invitation to your younger self to share their feelings, for example, &#8220;Tell me how you are feeling, what was it like to be you?&#8221;</p>
<p>Now take your pen or pencil and place it in your non-dominant hand and write &#8220;Dear Big (your name goes here),&#8221; and start writing and see what comes out.</p>
<p>Writing with your non-dominant hand mimics a child&#8217;s handwriting and taps into your deeper mind where the emotions are hiding.</p>
<p>Write back to your younger self with statements of acceptance and validation, honoring that is how you might have felt as a child.</p>
<p>Third, forgive yourself and others for how you feel. Do this by placing your hand on your chest (your heart chakra again) while repeating statements like:</p>
<p>&#8220;I forgive myself for feeling down and blue this time of year, I am doing the best I know how.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;I forgive my younger self for feeling powerless and unheard, they were doing the best they knew how.&#8221;</p>
<p>&#8220;I forgive my mom and dad they did the best they knew how with the knowledge and resources they had.&#8221;</p>
<p>Forgiveness is an important step in releasing downer feelings. Even if you are not ready to completely feel forgiveness, doing this process plants seeds that propel you toward more wellness and happiness.</p>
<p>Slow down this holiday season. Take time each day to reflect on the good and the important that is in your life.</p>
<p>Reach out to someone in your family that you would not likely reach out to. Spend less money and give more gifts of service. Put food in its proper perspective, a resource to assist you in maintaining good health and not a substitute for fulfillment.</p>
<p>Tell yourself you are feeling better and better each day and you probably will.</p>

<p>Gratitude is one of the highest states of emotion we can experience.  In the United <img class="alignright" title="tgving" src="http://images.meredith.com/bhg/images/2008/06/p_CNW218336.jpg" alt="" width="254" height="254" /><br />
States we will soon be celebrating Thanksgiving, This Holiday reminds us to practice gratitude in our thoughts and expressions.</p>
<p>8 years ago our family started a tradition to write in a Gratitude Journal.  Every Thanksgiving, as a family, we get out our Gratitude Journal and write 1,000 things for which we are grateful. We number from 1 to 1,000, leave it on the kitchen counter with a pen, and family members and friends are invited to write in it as often as they would like.</p>
<p>It usually takes us between ten days to 2 weeks to get to 1,000. Last year I added a new practice to include with our gratitude journal. Every day starting the week before Thanksgiving I tap on statements of thanksgiving and gratitude.</p>
<p>I choose to tap on 25 different statements a day using the EFT shortcut method. I also invited my clients to practice this as well.  I was amazed at the benefits they reported, so since then I have consistently incorporated more and more positive statements in my EFT protocol as I teach my clients how to process with positives. I was especially amazed at the results of one client, Claire.  Claire, a woman I had been seeing for about 2 months,<span id="more-892"></span> was still reporting a lack of success. Her complaints included:</p>
<p>It doesn&#8217;t seem to be working for me.<br />
I don&#8217;t feel any better.<br />
I get tired of saying so many negatives.</p>
<p>Claire was very practiced in coming to her weekly sessions, reporting how hard her week had been, what went wrong, and how bad she still felt. I told her two weeks before Thanksgiving that I was going to put her on a gratitude diet.  That she had a mental and emotional habit of focusing on the negative and unpleasant in her life and we needed to teach her brain to start seeing and feeling the blessings of her life.</p>
<p>I asked her to start a gratitude journal 10 days before Thanksgiving. She agreed to write 25 things a day that she was grateful for, and to then tap on them. She had such a tremendous shift in her moods and thinking, that she continued her gratitude diet for the rest of the year.</p>
<p>She shared with me, &#8220;I began to realize how hard it was for me to focus on the positives of my life.  I had to really make an effort the first few days to make my brain come up with them.  I began to notice that the aspects of my life I was unhappy about were in the minority, and the positives were all over the place.</p>
<p>&#8220;I used to wake up feeling miserable anticipating another day of drudgery.  Now I wake up feeling a sense of peace and thanks for all the good that is in my life.  I have noticed that my life is getting better and the answers are coming and problems are being resolved.&#8221;</p>
<p>The following 15 gratitude statements can help you get started on your gratitude diet. These statements are very general, so add to it with very specific statements that are personal to your life. Use the following gratitude statements while tapping on the seven consecutive points of the EFT shortcut &#8212; (1) Eyebrow(EB), (2) Side of Eye (SE), (3) Under Eye (UE), (4) Under Nose (UN), (5) Chin (CH), (6) Collarbone (CB), (7) Under Arm (UA), and (8) Top of Head (H) &#8211; while repeating the following:</p>
<p>1.      I am grateful for my life<br />
2.      I am grateful for all my experiences and what they have taught me<br />
3.      I am grateful for my ability to choose how I respond to my life<br />
4.      I am grateful for the opportunity to change<br />
5.      I am grateful for my loved ones<br />
6.      I am grateful for this amazing planet and all the richness it offers me<br />
7.      I am grateful for my freedom<br />
8.      I am grateful that I can change the way I feel<br />
9.      I am grateful for all the blessings I have received<br />
10.     I am grateful for EFT<br />
11.     I am grateful that I am never alone<br />
12.     I am grateful that God is watching out for me<br />
13.     I am grateful for all I have learned this year<br />
14.     I am grateful for all the answers and help that has been given to me<br />
15.     I am grateful I am finding answers and resources and that I am free to change and grow</p>
<p>Using EFT to process with positives will support you in allowing more blame, anger, resentment, frustration, and all other negative beliefs and emotions to melt away.  It is important to feed the energy of gratitude within you.</p>
<p>If you are feeling stuck use more statements of gratitude to get your positive emotions moving again. Put yourself on a gratitude diet this holiday season and watch your world start to shift for the better.</p>
<p>Teach yourself to appreciate everything.  Express gratitude for every single moment of your life.  The more you create feelings of appreciation and gratitude, the more you will attract into your life that which you can appreciate and for which you can feel gratitude for. </p>
