Hi, Carol!
I totally agree with your assessment that it is not working. Based on what you’ve said before, I was interested to see Ellen. The night I watched (I watch it very occasionally), she seemed very tentative, and almost scared. Not too much fun to watch, I agree.

You’re so ON!! Last night that ‘deal’ with Kara and Simon was so ’staged’ and ‘gag me’:)! and yes, with Paula it was so spontaneous and real!! I really wonder where AI is going after this season . . . with Paula’s exuberance, and Simon’s surly, yet accurate input, and charismatic presence (he grounds the whole panel) GONE !! What do they have – Ryan Seacrest !!
Do you have ‘any’ favorite(s) as far as the contestants this year? I know it’s all sort of flat … I just don’t feel a personal connection to any of them, like I have in years past, and find myself getting up doing the dishes or on the computer, which I haven’t done before ….. when it was time for AI – shhhhh

Hi everyone,
I agree and disagree at the dame time. As far Kara and Simon go it is kind of hard to watch since it is so fake but I am feeling a totally different vibe and it started last year with Chris winning over Adam. The energetics of humanity and earth are changing into a more authentic heart space and most of these contestants are coming from that space…and the judges are judging from that space. There is a real “feeling” tone coming from this season and I am enjoying it
This is the first season that I have ever said “Is AI on today…I can’t wait to see it.”

I agree with you TOTALLY! I used to record it if I was not going to be home. Now, I don’t really care. I have it on when I am home, but find myself cleaning house and other things while it is on.

Amazing article I agree with everything you said. It’s so boring this season. Snoozefest.

I so agree with you, Idol is boring. I believe that Paula was far more important than anyone ever realised, her sense of fun, her laughter, joy and tears were totally genuine, as was her relationship with Simon. You just cannot manufacture chemistry like theirs, and the idol producers are causing terminal embarrassment by trying to push Kara on to an obviously disinterested Simon. The programme is now a lame duck, and when Simon leaves will be a completely dead duck.

The problem with Idol is Kara she is smug and insufferable last night she was arrogant towards Chrystal Bowersocks almost hating on the poor girl all the people that are awful she loves…why because they were her personal picks. There is not one black female singer on there that can knock out a tune. are you trying to tell me there is no black talent in the country….thanks to Kara there will never be anyone like that on the stage I hope idol goes down in flames until they realize that that Kara is a problem it will will still be a lost show. There were conflicts last season between her and Paula and I can believe in my heart she had something to do with it. Chavone Magnus was screaming last night yet told she won the night really?!!!…she needs to go home she can’t sing!

I couldn’t say that I disagree with anything you’ve said! You have got it all right! Accept, I am a huge fan of Paula Abdul’s haha! I was a big fan of the show ever since I was 10 years old. So for about 5/6 years now because I am turning 16. I wasn’t very happy that they brought Kara in last year but I grew to like her. Or atleast, accept her a little bit. Now Idol is very boring and staged. I agree. Simon has given up and just doesn’t care. What would you say about Randy’s energy??

I loved the top 5 Idol group song last night. It was a pity to see Aaron Kelly eliminated but I do think the other singers were better singers so he had to go!

I totally agree. Everything with AI is a bit serious and not fun at all. I feel like my girl Ellen is repressing herself, or being repressed because everyone is so serious and the feeling is, oh we are so smart now, so dry, so correct in our assessments… and Ellen is trying to blend in instead of going all out and being herself. Very disappointing.
Too bad I lost my Living your truth book. Now I am interested.

I definitely agree about this season being “flat.” Many people have said this. I think you are right about Ellen not being her fun bouyant self. Hopefully it will change next year. I think this was a breakign in season. Just as Kara has been better this year, I hope Ellen will relax a bit more. You’ve talked about Type 1’s being really influenced by others, and I think that being in the foursome, she is trying har dto “fit in” as the new gal on the panel. Wish Ellen knew about DYT!!! I think she would stop wearing grey suits and have her hair a bit more lifted. her show is so popular and fun to watch, like Rachel Ray’s show because of their fun energy.
What types were Crystal and Lee? Crystal is outspoken, she is very strong and confrontational person, also accused of being “aloof.” A Type 3? She looked incredibly uncomfortable and awkward in the mermaid dresses she wore. The one time she looked really sexy was in Country Week when she wore a man styled suit and fedora hat in the group song.
Her dredlocks and black stripes in her hair annoyed me a lot… not true to her nature?
Lee is kind hearted, humble, and doe eyed, and . He is a worrier and babbled on in his answers to Ryan… a Type 2?
Jill said above that as our world is coming into a more compassionate consciousness, we are attracted more to that soft, humble quality… I’m not sure if that is true… Carol had said last year that Adam and Kris were both type 4’s… Adam has the whole Type 4 goth look going, but he is originally red haired and his skin is not porcelain quality, and I don’t see him as a “black and white” type of mentality! I think of Adam as more Type 3… Any thoughts on that or his secondary? Well if he and Kris are both Type 4, with the differences between them, their secondary traits much be different to account for the energy differences.

Crystal is a Type 4 and Lee is a Type 2. There are two sides of the Type 4 expression one is bold, Adam and the other is reflective, Kris.
