Thanks, Carol. This is a great description. I’m a type 4 and that’s exactly how I think. I walk into a room and notice every detail that isn’t right. A spot on a window, crumbs on the floor, a typo in a letter. It drives me nuts to have to sit down and plan something detail by detail, though.

Thank you for that clarification. I know I’m a dominant Type 1 and lately I have been trying to understand what my secondary is(but still lead with a 1). I jump back and forth often between a 1/4 and 1/3, usually 1/4, and it is interesting to see how they display themselves in my journalism major and in my writing career. I ask a lot of questions and tend to be more lengthy in writing, but I was confused by this because it didn’t seem to match Type 2-I don’t really like details. After watching this video, I realize it is out of a desire to be thorough that I ask questions, and I only ask questions that support the big picture or main point. Maybe I’m way off, but I feel like I understand myself so much better now! Thank you!

@Lisa and @Sherrie Thank you so much for your comments. It’s really exciting to find other people who percieve the world in the same way I do! I ask a lot of questions as well and it’s always to get that big picture in place so that I can refine and adjust it as I move forward in my natural movement toward balance, symmetry, and wholeness.
This is so fun.

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I believe myself to be a type 2 dominant and I now have a better understanding of my “detailedness” and how it can sometimes bug my best friend who is type 3 dominant but secondarily a very thorough type 4 (or maybe vice versa). I love step by step, methodical processes and can now enjoy it while enjoying and celebrating her ability to see the whole picture instantly. Differences do not have to be frustrating – they can actually be a plus. Thank you for this work Carol.

I am a type 4 and my daughter is a type 2 and I now understand the difference. She is very detail oriented and I ask a lot of questions which annoys her. As a personal weight loss coach, I believe being a type 4 has helped me in getting to core issues. Thank you for clarifying this for me.
