We love discovering the Energy Type of famous people. And today we type a famous figure from my childhood.
I’m a big foodie. I love to cook and I love cooking shows, and I was introduced to Julia Child as a young girl when my interest and hobby of cooking began.
Julia Child was one of the first chefs to bring a cooking show to daytime television. Audiences loved her and I think it’s because she lived true to her nature in a lot of ways.
Which of the 4 Types in my Energy Profiling system do you think fits Julia?
Make your guess. And then watch the video to learn how Julia Child’s Energy Type showed up in her facial features. We also talk about how she expressed her Type in her voice, her cooking space, her creative process, her physical movement on her show, and her life story. Let’s take a look…
Did you guess Julia Child’s Type? Do you agree with us? Share your thoughts in a comment.
Julia Child was very successful at what she loved to do. And she did it best when she was living true to her nature. Now that you know her Energy Type, you understand why she answered her critics by saying, “We should enjoy food and have fun.”
Even if you’re not the same Type as Julia Child, you can be just as happy and successful as she was. Energy Profiling helps you pursue whatever goals you have in a way that supports your natural movement and strengths. How has knowing your Energy Type helped you more successfully live your dreams?
Don’t know your Energy Type? You can find out. When you purchase my Energy Profiling Bundle, you’ll receive a book and an audio book—and access to facial profiling videos so you can learn to do what we did today with Julia Child’s portrait. Learn more at myenergyprofile.com

Thanks for answering my question about Julia Child! If I remember correctly I guessed 1/4 for her & so thanks for confirming that for me. I grew up watching reruns of the French Chef on PBS with my grandmother who fostered my own love of cooking. Julia Child’s The Way to Cook is a mainstay for me, although being a type 3 I use it as a guide and not a “bible.”

I have her video series “the way to cook” – and she is hilarious. She made this comment one time, “you can use white wine, or chicken stock, or if you’re not too fat, you can use cream!” and she did it in this sing song voice that just had me laughing for like 10 minutes. I love her – and I guessed that she was a type 1!

I knew it! That is why Meryl Streep, another type 1, played her so well in the recent movie on Julia Child. I’m a type 1 cook, too. Cooking is FUN.
Would you consider typing the chef Jamie Oliver? He is making waves with the food revolution, like a type 3. But I also see/feel some type 2. I love him!

Julia Child, Rachel Ray, and how about Graham Kerr who was the Galloping Gourmet? He looks so much like my type 1 son and I remember Graham bouncing down the aisles and on to the stage! Does anyone else remember Julia Child throwing egg shells over her shoulder? My type 1 child’s mind imagined she had a magic kitchen floor that cleaned itself! Thanks Carol and Sara!

I sure remember the Galloping Gourmet….definitely behaved like a 1. No wonder I enjoyed him so much, as a type 1 myself. When I cook (which I do not enjoy really) I never do the same thing twice. Never follow the instructions as they are written. Can rarely share the recipe of something that turned out well, because I didn’t pay attention to how I tweaked it! I make my own variations of everything. Sometimes they don’t turn out well, but most of the time it’s all good.

LOL! Carol- that is so funny Julia would wipe her crumbs on the floor. Funny to me because I admittedly have done that at times. I am a type 3 and have mostly settled on my secondary type as a type 1. I get torn because have a lot of type 4 in me as far as cleanliness, organization and such…hmm

A Type 1 simply doesn’t know it can’t be done. Love Julia! So glad she lived a long and happy life and shared so much with the world. I guess all that butter and cream worked out well for her seeing that she was about 92 when she died. Cheers to real food and real women!

More butter and cream for all Type 1′s! Love- the REAL Carol Tuttle! (I do write these!)

Reading this comment, I was saying, what? Then, when I understood what was being said I thought, ok – good to know – and I like that you write them yourself, so thank you!
I loved Meryl Streep in the movie, but didn’t see Julia at work as herself, though I love that T1 common sense (egg shells in the comment below) and laissez faire – freedom in sweeping everything onto the floor (even though I’m not that way myself – it’s fun to watch T1′s in action)!

I loved Julia Child, too! I remember when she was showing how to cook an omelet and as she was breaking the eggs into a bowl she said, “Now, don’t worry too much if a bit of shell falls in the eggs. It will stick to the bowl when you pour it out, and if it doesn’t, then just eat it. It won’t hurt you.” What a great attitude! I’m a Type 1/4, too, and now I’m going to think of Julia as a 1/4 role model. Thanks, Carol and Sarah and Anne for your always entertaining blog.

We just got back from the Smithsonian where they have her kitchen on display. They also showed some highlights from her shows. The kids all really enjoyed watching them, so before watching this vlog, I asked them all what type they thought she was and it was unanimous, definitely a type 1!
