Very informative, thought-provoking, helpful. I’m going to show this to our children tonight and see what it brings to mind for them. Keep it up and can’t wait for the other two!

I think you live in my head. That is so right on. I am grateful for these 4 part post, every one in my family is a different type. My 10 year old daughter is a 1, I am a 2, my husband is a 3 and my 13 year old son is a 4. This information has helped so much.

Wow. Differences in type really can make a difference when it comes to money! Today my hubby (type 4 with some 3) and I (type 2) went car shopping. He always does his research, but since he is his own authority he doesn’t tell me much about what he is thinking until he has already pretty much made up his mind, and though he listens some to what I want, once his mind is made up I feel like I have no influence. Me being so doubting of my own decisions makes it hard for me to be strong in voicing what I want or feel, and I am afraid to make the decision myself (he wouldn’t be comfortable letting me anyway) because I always worry that a better deal will come along later, so I end up feeling bulldozed and throwing my hands up early on because I can see he is much more determined and sure of his choice than I am. He has made all the choices on big purchases for our family because of this. I let it happen, and he has generally made good choices, yet I feel powerless and resentful afterward when he would like me to be excited about the new item. It just all happens way too fast for me and he doesn’t want to take time to explain every detail of the choice beforehand to me so that I can feel comfortable with it. It is difficult! It helps to understand why we think so differently, but discovering how to reconcile these differences can be tricky!
