Meet the Newest Member of My Family!

She’s finally here! Anne and Tanner’s baby girl, Katie Claire.

Born on May 9, 2012, she weighed 6lb 13oz.

I am so grateful to be the grandmother of this awesome little girl who is already expressing her true nature more and more every day. Isn’t she beautiful?

I often receive questions about how to recognize a baby or child’s Energy Type when they are still very young. How is it possible and what should you look for?

We’ve already identified baby Katie Claire’s Energy Type by a few telling characteristics.

In this video, Anne and Tanner introduce baby Katie and we’ll show you how her features and movement give away her Type, even though she’s just a few days old.

Can you see her Energy Type now that you look at her?

I can’t wait to see all the ways she expresses her natural energy!

She already expressed her Type when she was born. Anne wrote about baby Katie’s birth experience and you can read it here.

How blessed is beautiful Katie Claire! What a beautiful new family 🙂 It will be fun watching her grow – watching Anne and Tanner grow and experience parenthood. My two sons are adults now, but the parenting never ends – changes, yes. And with Carol’s wonderful parenting series, my husband and I continue to learn and our sons benefit :-).
    God Bless.

Congragalations Anne! How exciting it must be for you as you embark on this wonderful journey. What was the first hint that she was a T3? Being only 13 I hope to one day experience this for my self! May you and your family be blessed.

Welcome Katie Claire. Congratulations Anne & Tanner- I love her name. It was fun to watch her on the video. She seemed to be listening intently as you recounted her birth story and it almost looked like she was grinning when you were talking about the medical team running down the hall.
Thank you for sharing her with us- she is precious.

I’m so glad you are writing the parenting book Carol – watching this video of Anne & Tanner talking about baby Katie Claire’s movement (and sleep habits) makes me realize that I wasn’t a “bad” mom for never putting my children on a sleep/eating schedule because my oldest is a 1 like me and my 2nd is a 3 – so “random” and “irregular” are DEFINITELY their movements! However, knowing that about my first two children, I’m sure that if I ever have a T2 or a T4 baby then I will need to put them on an eating/sleeping schedule since that is more in alignment with their movement.
Based on my experience, my T1 and T3 babies didn’t like to be swaddled very much…. and now I know why!

  • Emalee

Congratulations! She is so beautiful. I love type 3’s. My type 3 daughter started crawling at 4 months. She wanted to be able to play with her older sister.

Congratulations Anne, Tanner and to the whole family! Katie Claire is just such a beauty! I’m excited for you to be a mom, Anne. I’m sure you already know that it’s one of the biggest blessings life could ever give you. You’re going to be a wonderful mom! I loved reading Katie Claire’s birth story. I had a similar experience actually. I had an unwanted induction, went completely natural until I needed my emergency c-section. I hope you are recovering well! Enjoy being a mom and all that this wonderful experience has to offer. My daughter is just 17 months old and I know I’m in for the ride of my life. 🙂 Congratulations again!!

  • Ann

  • Carol H.

Welcome, Katie Claire! Congratulations, Anne and Tanner! She’s certainly a dynamic baby. Wonderful that you can support her true nature already.

BTW she might like pushing with her feet because she was born via C-section. She didn’t get to push off that much in her birth, took the fastest route, as you say. I had a body-mind counseling client who’d been a C-section baby. She found pushing off with her feet against the wall and my hold her crown to be quite satisfying.

    Blessings to you all!

  • Theresa

  • Heather

Congratulations!! What a beautiful, gorgeous little girl. You are so far ahead of the game knowing what type she is, and I think she is going to be tons of fun.

  • Melissa

Welcome to the world little Katie Claire! The three of you make such a beautiful family. Can’t get over her eyes. How exotic! And she’s definitely punching her arms in a T3 manner. I’m going to guess she’s a T3/4. I remember taking care of my T3/2 nephew when he was that age and even though he was a T3 he had a little more subdued quality than Katie does. She’s like a little firecracker. It will be so exciting to watch her grow up. Thanks for sharing!!

  • Vanessa

Oh, she is just SO pretty! Awesome!

Aw, my boys both have a right cheek dimple too. This video makes me think that my second might be a 3. He’s 11 months, was walking at 9 months, and is practically running now (into things because he doesn’t know how to stop). He does squats. No kidding. This kid has some serious thighs. I suspect my oldest of being 4 or 4/1. He was a quiet kid and wasn’t even interested in walking until 14 months. Why is everyone else so much easier to figure out than myself? haha
